Alright, here we go—II is the second beat tape I’ve cooked up with my day 1 collaborator, Johnny C, and this one hits different. We’ve always worked well together, but this time, we came in with a mission. Instead of just messing around, sampling whatever sounded cool, we set out to make something that felt undeniably Briidges—but with more original sounds, less chopping up old records.
That shift changed everything. We dug deeper into our own sound, leaned into our instruments, and put together an album with a clear vision. And because we actually had a roadmap instead of just throwing ideas at the wall, II came together in just a few months. This project locked in the blueprint for how we work moving forward—before we even touch an instrument, we sit down and map out the vibe, the sound, and the whole feel of the record. Once we’ve got that, the music just happens.
And trust me, this is just the beginning. Johnny and I stay busy, but anytime we’re in the studio together, it’s a guarantee we’re gonna cook up something fresh. II set the tone, and there’s plenty more where that came from.
