Aiwass caught my attention the second I heard Wayward Gods in 2021. Their sound had this otherworldly weight to it—dark, heavy, and drenched in atmosphere. I knew right away that I wanted to work with them. When I connected with Blake Carerra, the creative force behind Aiwass, it was clear we were on the same page. It wasn’t a question of if we’d collaborate—it was just a matter of when.
That moment arrived when Blake asked me to mix The Falling, their second full-length album. He gave me complete creative freedom, trusting me to shape the sonic landscape of the record. That’s the dream scenario—working with an artist who fully believes in your ability to elevate their vision. I spent weeks carving out the right balance, letting each track breathe while keeping that massive, looming intensity intact.
One track that stands out for me is Prometheus. There’s something about it—it feels ritualistic, like it’s summoning something ancient and powerful. It’s the kind of track that doesn’t just play; it engulfs you. That’s the magic of Aiwass. Their music doesn’t just ask for your attention—it demands it.
When we wrapped up The Falling, Blake and the band were stoked on how it all came together. Their feedback helped refine the final product, pushing it to an even higher level. This was the beginning of something bigger—Aiwass and I aren’t done yet. We’ve got more in the works, and I can’t wait to dive back in and see where we take things next.
